This course will provide the user with the fundamentals of using Autodesk Revit
Architecture
to design in 3D and generate construction documents. Aspects of the software
covered include modeling with basic architectural components and sketch-based
components. View and sheet creation and coordination is also covered, as is the
creation of 2D detail views and schedules. Advanced free form 3D objects and
custom component creation are covered as well. The first two days of this three
day class is comprised of instructor lecture and demonstration with short
hands-on exercises, with the third day being reserved primarily as a
project-based lab during which participants will be able to apply the concepts
learned in a more realistic scenario.

Course Objectives
Autodesk Revit is deceptively easy to learn and use, but understanding how to
effectively use Revit remains an elusive goal for many new users. This course will provide not only a solid foundation of
Revit skills, but present optimal techniques for effectively employing it in
your architectural design practice.
Prerequisites
- No prior CAD experience or knowledge is necessary
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Familiarity with the Windows OS environment
- Basic knowledge of architectural design, drafting techniques and geometry
